One thousand Hong Kong teenagers today formed an impressive sight as they gathered for the graduation ceremony of the 2007-2008 Cathay Pacific "I Can Fly" Programme. All the members of the programme were clad in special "I Can Fly" T-shirts for the event, held at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University campus in Hunghom.

The one-day ground school-training course will be first launched on the 5th of January, 2008. This activity is tailor-made by pilots, covering some basic aviation topic and flying knowledge such as aerodynamic, human performance and limitation, hydraulic system. The activity will be divided into two parts, which are the basic aviation theory lesson in the morning and the interactive game in the afternoon. We hope that every member can really gain some aviation knowledge and increase their interest in aviation industry through attending this activity.

CX has launched the third "I Can Fly" Programme, in which 1,000 young Hong Kong people, aged 15 to 18, will embark on a four-month-long series of activities that will teach them about aviation and at the same time enable them to help others in the community.
